Since your inauguration as Distinguished Members of the National Assembly, I have deliberately refrained from interfering in your legislative affairs. This decision was made out of respect for your independence and to allow you to focus on your primary duty—alleviating the suffering of the Nigerian people.

However, at this critical juncture—after 26 years of democratic decline marked by the erosion of merit in electoral qualifications, large-scale electoral fraud, and now the unconstitutional removal of duly elected officials—I find it necessary to speak out. These actions not only undermine the rule of law but also have severe implications for our democracy and the people's will.

I urge you to stand as unwavering defenders of justice. Do not support, endorse, or participate in any action that compromises the integrity of our democracy, betrays the trust of the people of Rivers State, or contradicts our shared principles of fairness, equity, and transparency.

We must not be complicit in injustice. At this defining moment, we must place righteousness above convenience and remain resolute in safeguarding the will and welfare of the people of Rivers State.

Let us stand firm, unwavering in our commitment—because a new Nigeria is possible!
